How to open and print

---------------

Ive made the plans so that they are simple to make and to what ever scale you want. I always found that other people used pdf's and left you no room to increase the model size so here we go

Open the plan using paint. Now go to page setup in the file menu. Copy the settings that I have used. That is 0 margins, using landscape and the horizontal and vertical centering switched off.

click to open------------------

Now you can change the scale of the plane by adjusting scaling % to what ever you want. The scale% will depend on each plan and on how big or small you wish to build it.

If you want to fit the plan onto your depron or foamboard sheet then use print preview as your guide to the final size before printing. I use an A4 sheet as a rough ruler to measure my foamboard sheets and work from there.

Once you are happy with the size your after then print out your plans, tape them together and then cut them out and then use your templates on your foamboard or depron.

Motor Mounts taped Joints and Control Horn setups

Above you will find the little bits and pieces that complete the your aircrafts setups.

Motor mounts, I just make them big enough to mount the X bracket to. I usually use hot glue to secure it to the reccess that I cut back in the airframes. Now some of you might notice that the plans recesses arent big enough. Thats fine, just cut out the extra to allow your motor and mount to fit in. this can be moved backwards or fwds depending on where your prop centers in the cutout.

The prop cutout can be enlarged for bigger props as well but you might be limited sometimes by the size you make your model.

All of my battery cutouts are approximate. this will depend on the size of your battery that you run. I like the turnigy 2200mah 3S that is only $8.99 from HK. I think the price says it all.

You can easily move your battery and esc more fwd should you be running a smaller battery to get your CG right. If you are going to run a different battery then I suggest that you dont cut the batttey cutout out straight away. You can rest your battery on top and cut it in later after finding it.

Taped control surfaces. My topside tape method works well enough on most of models. Over time the cardboard can delaminate from the foam. Easy fixed, just put some hot glue in there and squeeze it out.

Control Horns. Ive used the screws but I have found an easier way for these easy bulds. Just cut a small rectangular hole to allow the horn to slip through. Then Hotglue under the horn and then around its edges to secure nicely to the taped topside. The horn should be on the bottom side of the wing. This method can also work in reverse.

The Lockheed Martin/Boeing F-22 Raptor is a single-seat, twin-engine 5th generation fighter aircraft that uses stealth technowledgy. It was designed primarily as an air superiority fighter, but has additional capabilities that include ground attack.

This has been one of my most successful builds so far and once you have become acustomed to flying her then you will be flying low and inverted with confidence. My CG is very close to nuetral. Begginers may want to make it a bit more nose heavy

The Eurofighter was my second scratchbuilt aircraft that I developed my own plans for. This is a great platform to build and fly. These plans only took me 3hrs to build to a flyable platform.

Once your confidence builds you can quite easily add a rudder for more control. The rudder will add roll when operated and needs counter ailerons to keep level. This could be added into the mixer stage of the HKT6A.

F117 Nighthawk

100%complete

The Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk is a Stealth technology Ground attack aircraft formerly operated by the United States Air Force. The F-117A's first flight was in 1981, and it achieved Initial operating capability status in October 1983. The F-117A was acknowledged and revealed to the world in November 1988.

Everybody wants one and my first aircraft besides my failed glider I built back in 97 was a banana hobbies F117 edf jet. After crashing it and moving on I built one of these and had some successes and failures with it. The main Failure was my Spektrum DX5e not having any control of dualrates or means to control throw limits on the control surfaces.

What this meant was that it was super edgy on roll but lacked elevator control.... Not with the HKT6A Tx. Armed with this beauty and the F117 I can set to the skies again.

WARHAWK pusher prop edition

100%complete

This was my EDF Challenge entry for RC Foamfighters Collorado connection and was made straight up by pen knife and foamboard. I wont be post the edf plans up but have completed plans for a pusher prop version.

The 68mm edf on the plane had enough thrust but wasnt as good as most of my prop setups in power and current use with the prop being a better choice.

The design loosely copies the EF2000 but with more appeal I thinks anyway.

The plans are 70~80% complete and just need to built and properly CG'd but I have up my best guess at the moment so it should be close.

SR-71 Blackbird

100%complete

The SR-71 Blackbird was built to supersede the U2 spyplane.

It has set multiple world records but has been sadly retired from service. It is now time for you to revive this beast and set some of your own records!!

This plane once dialed in flys really nice. It reqiures minute throw in the aileron setting on your radio due to the short wingspan. It doesnt mind slowflying with some 35~45deg high alpha before tip stalling.

I really enjoyed throwing this plane around in the turns and watching it slide.

Rememeber when building this plane that the battery cut out is and approximation and works for me but this will depend on your battery and running gear.

The Space Shuttle, part of the Space Transportation System (STS), is an American spacecraft operated by NASA for orbital human spaceflight missions. The first of four test flights occurred in 1981, which were followed by operational flights beginning in 1982.

My model is quite nimble and does require your dual rates to be trimmed down so the roll isnt uncontrollable.

F4 Phantom

My brother Matt was the one who got me back into flying RC planes. This was mainly because china had entered the equation and made things cheap. Problem was my brother wasnt flying so I built him his dream plane. The F4 phantom.

Now before I got into using images and then drawing my plans from them, I built his one by pen and knife by looking at the image.

The plane itself is simillar in looks to the real F4 but not to scale.

These plans are what I can remember of my brothers plane and are not tested. When I get the chance I will or hopefully one of you can pass on the CG to me so that I can finalise the Plan.

Battery cutout should be left out until CG'ing the plane. Make your guess and have a go!!

JUDD-RC Trainer

100% complete

The trainer was built so that I could get my 6yo boy into flying RC aircraft. Using The mixers on my HKT6a I could make my ailerons flaperons. This did allow slower flight but slow flight brings this closer to a stall.

My first build had some wing flex in it. This was mainly because my foamboard sheet had a thinner paper on both sides giving the sheet more flex where the cardboard on bothsides does have more rigidity.

This could also be solved by CF rod or a additional sheet on top or KF airfoil. My current build has cardboard on the botom side with paper on the top side and seems to be fine.

I have not built this model before but I believe it will fly. I just have to find some styro balls to make the cockpit. Ive seen these before at spotlight so I will have look shortly. I will also order a edf for this as well. Im just looking a good performer that is cheap.(another HK order)

I dont know about the fron skid. I might be able to place some wheels on the leading edges of the verticle stabs to stop the thing cartwheeling when landing.

This was requested by my friend John on RC groups. This is the first of my plans done in photoshop so I hope that the quality shoulf improve from here.

The CG on this model is my best guess so buidling and flying and Finding the CG from there will be left up to you until I get around to building these plans.

B2 Stealth Bomber 99.9%

I built my B2 Bomber based on the image of the aircraft but soon had to modify the shape just a little so that it could fly.

The plans are a finalised to 99.9%. Ive made the estimated adjustments so that no additional ballast needs to be added.

But this will of course depend on your motor and battery choice.

The CG is right on the money to keep this bird flying.

Ive put on taller vertical stabs which can have rudders added if you wish. This will aid the yaw issues that this wing has.

Take this as the V1 model until I finalise a better alternative.

The Avro Vulcan, sometimes referred to as the Hawker Siddeley Vulcan, is a delta wing subsonic jet strategic bomber that was operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF) from 1953 until 1984.

This model was something that I wanted to build one day but was pushed forward as a request from my freind Carl on RC groups here.

Thanks Carl for the motor tips.

The plan has my best guess for the CG and my average for guessing recently has been really good.

If you build it and confirm the CG then let me know and I will correct this on the plans.

The Extra Flugzeugbau EA300 is a two-seat aerobatic monoplane capable of Unlimited category competition. It was designed in 1987 by Walter Extra, an award-winning German aerobatic pilot and built by Extra Flugzeugbau.

The plans were made by Mike.P from my RC groups thread. Mike has desensitized the plane so that its a bit easier for the begginer to fly. I do believe that it should be able to 3D.

Im yet to build this plane but I do look fwd to it as it would be my second tractor style aircraft to fly. My first wasnt successful....

BAE HAWK

The BAE Systems Hawk is a British single engine, advanced jet trainer aircraft. It first flew in 1974 as the Hawker Siddeley Hawk. The Hawk is used by the Royal Air Force, and other air forces, as either a trainer or a low-cost combat aircraft.

The plans were made at the request by Kevin on my RC groups thread. As I have a list of things as long as my arm to do. I have put up the plans for you guys to build it and have fun with it . Based on my best guess the CG mark should be rather close. The battery cutout compartment should be left uncut until you balance the plane.

Ive placed skids under wings for protection of the aileron servos. The elevator servo can be mounted topside.

If you build this plane and fly it. please let me know if the CG mark was correct or what changes were made.

A KF airfoil of course could be placed on the wing.
